Box users now have access to Amazon Bedrock, empowering them to build applications with private data and advanced AI models. This feature was made generally available on Oct. 24, following an expanded partnership between Box and AWS.
According to Box’s Chief Technology Officer Ben Kus, this collaboration allows companies to use their preferred AI models within Box’s Intelligent Content Cloud. This flexibility means enterprises can apply powerful AI tools to boost productivity directly in the Box environment.
Through this integration, companies of all sizes can leverage their data to build custom AI applications. They can now retrieve answers, summarize content, and generate new documents, thanks to a Box connector for Amazon’s generative AI assistant, Q Business.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to helping businesses achieve the greatest value from generative AI,” said Vasi Philomin, vice president of generative AI at AWS. “Together, we’re making it simple and secure for joint customers to apply cutting-edge AI to their data.”
Since its April 2023 launch, Amazon Bedrock has provided access to foundation models from AWS and partners, making AI accessible to organizations. With the addition of Amazon Q Business, users can connect to over 40 business tools for quick answers to questions on company policies, products, or business performance.
The future of AI in content management is promising with Box and AWS. Their partnership enables companies to innovate with generative AI tools, using the information they already store securely in Box.
